Fraiche Nutrition: Raspberry Rainbow Smoothie Bowl
I have the biggest crush on smoothie bowls right now! I love smoothies, but there is something about eating breakfast (versus drinking it) that is so much more satisfying.
As a dietitian I often make reference to eating a rainbow, which is essentially eating as many colorful fruits and vegetables as possible. Mission accomplished here. This smoothie bowl tastes like delicious frozen yogurt, and can be topped with any ingredients your heart desires: there are some ideas below to get you started.
Directions
- Add frozen raspberries, frozen banana, yogurt, milk, and juice to a blender. Blend until smooth. (It will be quite thick.)
- Pour into a bowl and arrange the fresh sliced fruit on top.
- Enjoy immediately!
- Want to take it to another level? Try adding one (or a few!) of these delicious and nutritious toppings:
- granola
- hemp seeds
- almonds
- unsweetened coconut
- pumpkin seeds
- chia seeds
- wheat germ
