Looking to make the holidays a little greener this year? An eco-friendly holiday doesn’t mean sacrificing joy or tradition—it’s about making mindful choices that reduce waste and support the planet. From sustainable gift ideas to low-waste decorations, these simple tips will help you celebrate the season with kindness to the Earth.

All natural decorations:

Turn Canadian beeswax pastilles into hand made ornaments.  Use these to decorate your tree, tie them around a rolled napkin at each place setting on your dinner table or add them to the outside of a wrapped present for a personalized touch.

All natural wrapping paper:

Burlap or recycled kraft paper are great options compared to glossy and/or foil wrapping paper that is often not recyclable.  Tie a spring of pine or a candy cane on with twine for a beautiful custom gift.

Upcycle materials:

Use materials at home to make your own reusable gift bags/wrap. Maybe you bought an ‘ugly Christmas sweater’ for a party and only wore it once, or maybe you have an old tablecloth or curtain that can be repurposed.

Gift consumable items:

No waste items that can be used and consumed ensure that your gift to a friend won’t make its way to a landfill. Even better are items that have a positive environmental impact. We love tealights, taper pairs and pillars as the perfect gift.

At Honey Candles we do our best to make responsible choices when it comes to the environment. Our products are all natural and has minimal packaging, intentionally. We want you to see, smell and touch the beeswax! All our boxes and literature are made locally with recycled paper and 100% of our beeswax come from family run apiaries in Western Canada.
